Lore:
Blimey the blob had been living in a glass tank for what felt like forever. He wasn’t sure how long it had been — time was tricky when you were a blob. All he knew was that he didn’t belong here, inside this cold, sterile science lab, surrounded by beeping machines and watchful scientists in white coats. Every day, he’d float aimlessly in his little tank, staring out at the world beyond, wishing for freedom. The humans would occasionally peer in at him, some with curiosity, others with fascination. But Blimey wasn’t their experiment. He wasn’t some specimen to be studied. He was Blimey, and he had a plan. It started with a small leak. One day, as the scientists shuffled about, one of them accidentally knocked over a jar of chemicals on a shelf. The liquid spilled across the counter and dripped onto the floor — and more importantly, onto the base of Blimey’s tank. For a moment, Blimey was terrified, sure that his precious little world was about to be ruined. But then, he felt something strange. A tingling sensation. The substance was… working its magic. Blimey squirmed with excitement. The tank's seal was weakening. It would only be a matter of time before it cracked. With a gentle push, Blimey nudged the glass, feeling it shudder under his blob-like pressure. His tiny, squishy body squeezed and stretched as the seal slowly gave way, and finally, with a satisfying pop, the glass broke open. Blimey was free! He bounced across the lab, feeling the cool air and the vastness of the space around him. There were tubes, wires, and strange gadgets everywhere, but Blimey had no interest in them. His only goal was the vent that led to the outside world. Slipping past the scientists' desks, up to the vent. It was just big enough for him to squeeze through, and with a little wiggle and a stretch, he was outside.
The air was warmer. There were less bright lights. Blimey could feel the sun, or at least the warmth of it, through the walls. He had no idea what lay beyond the building, but it didn’t matter. Blimey was free, and that was all he’d ever wanted. Blimey didn’t stop to look back. He had no idea where he was going, but he knew one thing for sure — the world was bigger than any science lab could ever be, and Blimey was ready to explore it all.
